01. What is Precisionsound?
A sound design & sampling company that’s offering downloadable SampleSets for DAW based musicians, producers. Read more about us in the “About” section.

02. What is SampleSets?
A SampleSet is a package containing a multi sampled instrument/instruments, drum/percussion/sound effect kits or a selection of sample loops. Packed in a “*.exe” file.

03. How do I buy SampleSets?
Go to "Ordering Information".

04. In witch formats are the SampleSets?
It depends. Multi sampled instruments is often in HALion & Kontakt format.
Other formats is; SoundFont /Sf2), Gigastudio & NN-XT. Loops are in .WAV format & in some chases, Rx2 format. You will get all the information about available formats in the product description for each SampleSet.

05. After I pay for a product, how do I download it?
After your payment is finished you should go to our "Order status" page where you have to write your order ID & email adress to be able to download a small package/packages containing your UNLOCKCODE & link(s) to the SampleSet(s). There will be one separate file to download for each product you purchase. Keep these file(s) in a safe place & you will be able to return & download your files again &, if available; download updates or extentions.

06. When downloading my SampleSet, should I "Open the file or Save it to my computer"?
Always choose the "Save it to your computer" option. Also, be certain where you are placing the file on your computer. For Example, create a "Download" folder to place all your downloaded files into.

07. Why am I unable to download my SampleSet through AOL?
You may be using a version of AOL email which does not render clickable links. In that case, just copy the URL for the download page, paste into your browser's address location & click “enter”.

08. What if I get logged off or disconnected before my SampleSet is downloaded?
Simply return to the download link in the .htm file you downloaded from the orderstatus page & retry your download. If you are using download resuming software like “GetRight” or “Download Accelerator Plus”, you can simply resume your transfer. For dial-up users: we recommend using the above download software to resume interrupted transfers or lost connections.

09. Why doesn’t the link work?
Try again later it may be temporary problems with the server. It’s Internet you know…
If the problem continues, send us a mail & we will solve the problem ASAP.

10. Is it safe to use the samples in my productions?
All of our sounds are royalty-free & copyright cleared, so once you have paid for a SampleSet, you are free to use it in any commercial (or non-commercial) Production, read our Terms & Conditions.

11. Why doesn’t my sampler/drum machine find the samples when I’m loading the program file?
It’s important that you keep the hierarchy intact after extracting the SampleSet “*.exe” file, otherwise the program files would not find the source samples.

12. I have a MAC, can I extract the “*.exe” files?
~~Yes, drag & drop the”*.exe” file to stuffit expander. Be sure to always have the latest version installed. Enter the unlock code & press "ok".~~
This is old information, due to "bugs"? in the later versions of Stuffit Expander you can not extract encrypted .exe files on MAC anymore. We are updating our libraries but if you discover an .exe file just send us a mail and we will send you zip files instead.

13. Why do I have to pay the same for a SampleSet that is much smaller in MB?
Precisionsound is selling high quality sounds not MB. The size may differ & some times you will pay even more for smaller SampleSets than bigger ones.

14. My sampler can't find the WAV files & they look like this: "XX_X~.WAV"
If you are using an older OS on MAC you need the joliet extension. It's free & available here:

15. I like my order on CD/DVD, what do I get?
If you like your order on CD/DVD we burn your order(s) on a plain CD/DVD and put it in a hard slim case cover. Do not expect and fancy artwork or fat paper boxes, The CD/DVD options is just a service to you if you prefer your order on CD/DVD instead of a download.

16. I downloaded NI Kontakt player, can I use it with your SampleSets?
The free Kontakt player only works with Kontakt player libraries so you need the full version of Kontakt to use our SampleSets. Most of our SampleSets works with earlier versions of Kontakt though, please check the information about the SampleSet(s) you are interested in.
