For
Dusty Electric MkII we used a well tuned & served
Rhodes® Mark II Stage Piano (Seventy Three) from 1980.
This item has its own personality & soul that we like
very much.
The complete SampleSet contains 520 individual
24 bit Mono WAV samples. 1 program each for HALion 1.*,
HALion 2, EXS24, NI Kontakt 1/2, NI Kontakt 3/4 (with KSP script and GUI) and Sfz.
All notes have been recorded in 24bit without any post
treatment. What you get is the pure & true sound of
the instrument in up to 5
velocity layers & 3 velocity release layers.
To keep the size down (under 235 MB) & still be an extremely
realistic we looped each sample very carefully so you
won’t notice it.
"Studio" November 2004
issue gives Dusty Electric Mk II (8/10) & the "Studio
REKOMMENDERAR" award
"Sounds
very true to the original & has the warmth & "funk"
that some of the competition lacks. The funky sound of Dusty
Electric Mk II suits RnB, modern jazz & everything in between..."Studio
"I
bought Dusty Electric Mk II, because I needed a more
realistic Rhodes sound than those available in my trusty
old Rol& SR-JV 60s & 70s expansion board, and
I needed it quickly for a semi-acoustic record project.
DEMKII seemed to be good value for money with several
velocity levels & note-off samples. Actually it
turned out to be even better than I had expected, having
all the things I want from a Rhodes: that beefy barking
sound with a lot Soul in it, and plenty of dynamics
from subtle ballads to funky action. It's very warm
& dirty all the way, just the way I like it.
I don't want my Rhodes to be sterile & 'hi-fi'.
Instead, I want something to inspire me, & Dusty
Electric has plenty of that."
Yrjö Fager - Arranger, keyboard player.
"Simply the best & warmest sampled Rhodes
I’ve tried. I’m very impressed."
For Funky
Electric P200 we used a well tuned and served Wurlitzer®
200A electric piano. The great sound of this instrument is well
known from several classic records of jazz, soul, funk and gospel
music.
